RECORDING YOUR PART
So you are ready to record and be a part of the final concert! Well done.
Here is what you need todo:
Make sure you are dressed in school uniform, sitting smartly on a chair, ideally with a plain background - e.g. like a plain wall with some space around you.
Make sure you use headphones to listen to the backing track whilst you play along. This way your playing will be in time with the track but we will be able to hear your guitar playing loud and clear!
When you start any of the 3 backing tracks they will begin with an 8 beat count in. Please clap loudly on beat 4, before you play. So the count in will go: 1 - 2 - 3 - CLAP - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8. This is VERY important to be able to sync up everyone’s separate video and the music. If you don’t do it your video can’t be used.
Record on a phone, iPad etc in LANDSCAPE please. Make sure it is one complete take of the song, not little chunks.
Make sure yo leave a 10 second pause at end of the video such like where an audience would normally clap at the end at the end of a live concert!
